The name of the event: "Sharjah International Athletics Forum for the Disabled 2023"
Period: 20, 21 and 22/02/2023. (starting from 15:00 to 22:00)
Location: Al-Thiqa Club for the Disabled - Sharjah.
Tournament Type: An international open tournament approved by the International Paralympic Committee.
Competitions:
Track: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m.
Field: shot put, discus, spear, scepter, long jump, triple jump, high jump.
Participants
Participants: Participation is open to all countries and clubs.
Countries that have indicated their intention to participate until 1/12/2022: Greece, Germany, Algeria, Switzerland, Thailand, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Canada, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Brazil, France, Tunisia, Morocco, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Slovakia, India, Sri Lanka.
The expected number of players participating: 350
Participating disabilities: movement disability, visual disability, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, amputation.
Supervision and regulation
Organization: Trust Club for the Disabled
Arbitration: UAE Athletics Federation.
Doping Test: Emirates Anti-Doping Committee.
International Paralympic Committee: Technical observers for the tournament, nominated by the International Paralympic Committee.
