As part of its ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships with educational institutions, the  Al Thiqa  Club for the Disabled held a coordination meeting with the Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and develop media and community initiatives that serve the club's members with disabilities.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Board Member and Acting Executive Director of the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, Mr. Azad Juma Ebo, Media Coordinator at the Club, and Ms. Maryam Arash.

From the Higher Colleges of Technology, Dr. Nada Al Taher, Head of the Applied Media Department, Dr. Zahida Abdul Qader, Lecturer in the same department, and Ms. Lamees Mowafi, Lecturer in the Applied Media Department, participated.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to activate cooperation in the fields of media training and engaging students in producing content that addresses issues related to people with disabilities. They also discussed developing creative projects that reflect the capabilities and talents of the club's members and enhance their presence in the media and digital platforms.

Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi emphasized that this collaboration falls within the club's strategy to build bridges of communication with academic institutions. He said, "We believe in the importance of partnering with the Higher Colleges of Technology, given its influential role in developing media competencies. We look forward to implementing joint initiatives that highlight the potential of people with disabilities and support their positive integration into society."

The two parties affirmed their commitment to strengthening joint efforts that support and empower people with disabilities, in line with the country's efforts to build an inclusive society that ensures equal opportunities for all.
