The "Trust Run 2025" race, organized by the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, kicked off this morning (Saturday), September 27, 2025, in a sporting atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and determination. The race took place at the University City in Sharjah, with the participation of approximately 400 runners from various age groups and communities.
The launch was attended by His Excellency Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled; Mr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Qaid Al Hammadi, Acting Executive Director; Engineer Yousef Al Dobi, Board Member; and Mr. Abdullah Khalifa Al Shaer Al Suwaidi, Board Member. They gave the starting signal for the race, which included four distances: 10 km, 5 km, 3.2 km, and 1 km.
The organization of this major sporting event comes within the framework of the club's commitment to promoting the values of community sports and spreading awareness of the importance of physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle. It also aims to encourage people with disabilities and their families to participate and integrate into society through sports.
The organizing committee also allocated valuable prizes for the winners in the various categories. The race also received generous support from its success partners, led by Fast Building Contracting Company (Gold Sponsor) and Al Waha Company, in appreciation of their role in the success of this distinguished sporting event.
The Trust Club emphasized that the "Trust Run 2025" is not just a sporting competition, but rather a community sports festival that combines challenge and fun, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and partnership to serve the community.
